I started using Salesforce many years ago when I worked for a small education startup. Back then, I could do little more than print some views, but it was my first taste of a system built to excite everyone who gets their hands on it. I believe that Salesforce has seen so much success because it's built to make its users love it. Almost 8 years and 3 certifications later, I still find new things to appreciate about the platform. Here's why I believe Salesforce is so damn lovable:
1. It's open to everyone. Salesforce is intentionally open source, and training is available for free through Trailhead.
2. It's built in a way that works for lots of different styles. My number one favorite feature of Salesforce is that you can do almost everything with either point and click or declarative functionality. For someone like myself who gets anxiety looking at a command terminal, it makes coding and technology accessible.
3. It wants to empower its users and give back. Whether it's the 1-1-1 model, the local communities and events, or the individual staff who volunteer their time, Salesforce is always striving to give back.
It's hard not to feel the love when the system is intentionally built to foster learning and community.
